GET TO KNOW TYE

WHAT DOES YOUR SPORT MEAN TO YOU BEYOND COMPETITION?

Brazilian Jiu-jitsu to me is now become a means of life and income with the push to grow my private lessons and coaching at Zeus 2 nights a week,

I’m hoping to move full time some time in 2024, with the view of having my own academy one day.

HOW DO YOU BALANCE THE DEMANDS OF YOUR SPORT WITH YOUR PERSONAL LIFE?

I think the biggest thing in this aspect is having the amazing partner, that I do, someone who understands that some days we won’t spend much time together if any or weekends spent away due to my commitment to the sport of Jiu-jitsu and the roles I’ve taken on as a coach.

In saying this the time I spend off the mats with my partner, friends or family is so important to me as it’s a time I can relax and be there with them in those moments.

WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE TO ASPIRING ATHLETES LOOKING UP TO YOU?

COME TRAIN WITH ME! Approach me at competitions or via social media. I'm always there if anyone needs, even if we don’t train together! I'm now six years into competing at a high level and have some great ways to deal with competition anxiety and the pressure of going out there alone even though we are a part of a team.
