Bow & Arrow (Okuri Eri Jime/送襟絞) is our favourite gi choke.

The Okuri-eri-jime (Sliding collar strangle) is a frequently used technique in BJJ and Judo, and though it has many variations, depending on the opponent's posture, its defining feature is that Uke (Player receiving opponent's attack) is strangled with his own collar.

INSPIRATION

This design is inspired by all those sessions on the mat when we’ve had our back taken and collar gripped only to realise all too late, that our fate has been sealed (and tapping with a gurgle a short time later).

Simple, eye catching and hand made - all the markers of Kakuto Culture and Kakuto Studios packaging.

Our Sankaku tee is wrapped in a Japanese style gift wrapping handkerchief, handprinted in house using the screen printing method with our custom Kakuto Culture Kamon (family crest). Topped with a hand printed post card with the Sankaku design and details about the process to create this particular piece.
