INSPIRATION

Fudo Myo is such a powerful figure and motif in Japanese art. Originally from Hindu art, Fudo Myo was introduced to Japanese Buddhism around the 9th century.

During our trip to Tokyo, Japan in 2024 - Jaz, Amelia and I visited the Tokyo National Mueseum in Ueno. This exhibit hosted many statues and depicitions of Fudo Myo.

Since diving further into Japanese art, I've been drawn to Fudo Myo art and depicitions. He's always depicted with incredible facial expressions and poses along with being surrounded by beautiful motifs, flames, snakes and dragons, and his incredible sword and rope.
