The triangle choke — Sankaku-jime (三角絞) — is a classic in both judo and BJJ. Whether you catch it off guard or chain it from guard, nothing feels better than watching your opponent realise there’s no way out.

We captured that moment and dropped it onto a premium heavyweight AS Colour blank. Japanese-inspired artwork, grappler-tested fabric, and a limited 2025 release. Wear it like you wear the choke — with style and a little bit of menace.

INSPIRATION

This design is inspired by all those sessions on the mat when we’ve had our back taken and collar gripped only to realise all too late, that our fate has been sealed (and tapping with a gurgle a short time later).

SUBMISSION TYPE

The Okuri-eri-jime 送襟絞 (Sliding collar strangle) is a frequently used Waza, and though it has many variations, depending on the opponent's posture, its defining feature is that Uke (Player receiving opponent's attack) is strangled with their own collar.

Simple, eye catching and hand made - all the markers of Kakuto Culture and Kakuto Studios packaging.

Our Sankaku tee is wrapped in a Japanese style gift wrapping handkerchief, handprinted in house using the screen printing method with our custom Kakuto Culture Kamon (family crest). Topped with a hand printed post card with the Sankaku design and details about the process to create this particular piece.
