INSPIRATION

This design is inspired by all those sessions on the mat when we’ve been caught in a triangle only to realise all too late, that our fate has been sealed (and tapping out a short time later).

SUBMISSION TYPE

Sankaku in Japanese means triangle. This essential submission in BJJ and Judo (known as the sankaku-jime) is one every grappling enthusiast has at least tried, if not attempted to master throughout their grappling career.

PACKAGING

Simple, eye catching and hand made - all the markers of Kakuto Culture and Kakuto Studios packaging.

Our Sankaku-jime poster is wrapped in multiple layers; starting with non-toxic paper, a plastic liquid deflecting bag and finally, a simple hand-made dust sleeve embellished with the custom Kakuto Culture Kamon (family crest). Topped with a hand printed card with various designs, each card includes a QR code on the backside linking you to our Project 1.2025 journal entries explaining our experiences in creating these pieces.
